Ferguson Michiana Inc. is a family-owned business that has been serving northern Indiana and southwest Michigan since 1971. It was founded by R.C. “Clare” Ferguson who was later joined by sons and current owners Dave and Jim Ferguson. For over 35 years we have used the finest, most innovative equipment available. We are continually seeking out the latest technological advances and investing in larger, more powerful equipment so that our customers receive the best possible value for their money.
Over the years our business has expanded to include $2.2 million in equipment and inventory with a three building facility encompassing over 17,000 square feet. Located on Michigan highway M-140 just north of the Indiana state line, our rural base has proven to be an excellent location for serving our customers in the midwest as well as a mobilization point for travel to more distant locations.

Keeping a progressive viewpoint derived from our founder’s experiences in the competitive equipment sales field has enabled our company to participate in occasional construction projects more distant than our normal routine ranging from Alaska to Atlanta and from Boise to Boston. We have successfully completed major projects ranging from:
- Directional boring of innerduct along Alaskan pipeline and numerous streams, rivers, lakes, trailer parks, subdivisions, industrial sites, interstate highways, streets, and alleys.
- 80 miles of fiber placement along New York state toll road along with federal and state highways in Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois.
- Cable and duct placement at South Bend Regional Airport.
- Installation of fiber optic communications for school systems and universities.
